What we do

Assessment Next Steps

Because we all desire to see Galilee be a strong, vibrant, healthy church where people are coming to Christ, believers are growing in their love for God and are being used to impact the community in Jesus name. We invited a Ministry Mapping Team to come to Galilee on the weekend of June 27-29, to assess our strengths and weaknesses and help us establish a plan to be more effective in reaching those around us with the gospel of Christ.

During that weekend, the Ministry Mapping Team spent hours interviewing staff, elders, ministry leaders and a held a Focus Group made up of 21 church members and regular attenders. The goal of the Ministry Mapping Process was to identify Galilee’s strengths and weaknesses. That Sunday, the 29th, Dr Borden taught our service and invited the congregation to hear the team’s findings at the meeting that followed the service.
You can listen to Dr. Borden's sermon here. You can hear the report findings here.

We would like to invite you to take part in the next steps as we as a body consider the Prescriptions that were presented. Please mark your calendars and make every effort to participate in these next three steps.

1. Town Hall Meeting- July 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the Forum. Rev. Stan Reib will present the information that was gathered by the survey.

2. Prayer Night- July 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the Forum. We as a body will ask the Lord for guidance and wisdom to know if He is leading us to accept the Prescriptions.

3. Decision Day- July 27 immediately following service in the Sanctuary. Those
who regularly attend services at Galilee will be invited to either accept or reject the enclosed report and prescriptions.
